Why Major Chains Reject Cash & Debit
Enterprise, Hertz, Budget, and Avis all require a major credit card for most rentals. Some will accept a debit card but require a credit check and additional documentation — and even then, many locations refuse debit entirely.

How the Deposit Works
For cash and debit rentals, CMW collects a refundable security deposit at pickup. The exact amount depends on rental duration and vehicle class — call ahead and we'll tell you exactly what to bring.
- Deposit is fully refundable at return
- Vehicle must be returned in same condition
- Renters must carry auto insurance or purchase at pickup
- Minimum rental period: 3 days
